Visa: Half citizens of Russian big cities have smart devices
MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- More than half of the citizens of large Russian cities have smart devices, like smart TV sets and multimedia automobile systems, payment service Visa said on Thursday in a statement.
“Visa conducted a research in order to study Russians’ attitude to innovative means of payment. According to the results, every second citizen of a large Russian city, or 52%, already owns smart devices,” Visa said.
Every respondent has five electronic devices on average. The poll revealed that smartphones are the most popular and are followed by laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones, smart TV sets, and electronic books.
Smartphones and laptops are widely used for contactless payments, while smart rings and bracelets are rarely used.
Most of the respondents, or 71%, are ready to delegate to the artificial intelligence automatization of a process of order and payment for purchases.
